Sarah Pidgeon is an actress born on 7 July 1996 in the US. She graduated in 2018 with a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama.
Pidgeon debuted her acting career in the 2014 short film Nowhere I'd Rather Be. Then, after four years, she went on to star in the TV series One Dollar in 2018.
The following year, she played the role of Jane Cartwright / Jane Doe in the television show Gotham for one episode. It is the story of Detective James Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie, returning to power in Gotham City prior to the arrival of Batman.
'The Wilds'
Finally, in 2020, Pidgeon landed her breakthrough role in the popular TV series The Wilds as Leah Rilke. The show follows a group of teenagers who must survive after being stranded on a deserted island because of a plane crash. As a result, investigators figure out what happened to the girls as they tell their stories.
Pidgeon's character, Leah, appears in all 18 episodes of the show's two seasons. Throughout the series, the characters face enormous odds, and fans get to know them through flashbacks revealing who the girls were before arriving on the island.
The show has intense moments, mystery, and plot twists will engage the audience. Season 2 of the show expands on the show's first season, with new and old characters expanding the story.
In the second season, Leah, Pidgeon's character, is still reeling from her ordeal at the hands of Helena Howard's Nora. To make matters worse, no one else believes it occurred, and Leah is determined to prove her suspicions correct.
Most of the characters on The Wilds face enormous challenges and must endure some hard times, but they do occasionally experience lighter moments and hope. On the other hand, Leah appears to get fewer of those than most. The show features actors like Nicholas Coombe, Reed Shannon, Shannon Berry, Chi Nguyen, Victoria Moroles, Grace Van Dien, Alex Fitzalan, and Helena Howard.
Pidgeon's character's obsession with discovering the truth has her operating at a high level of tension almost every second of the show.
In an interview with Collider in May 2022, she mentioned that playing Leah has unlocked a new sense of anxiety for her. Pidgeon also said, "When you really think about what she's going through and what all the girls are going through, and then the crushing realization that no one really believes her or understands what she's trying to communicate about."
She continued, "It just sort of informs itself I think. But at the end of the day, it's the performances that everyone else is giving themselves too that make Leah seem as, I guess, neurotic at times as she is."
