Tiedrich had also tweeted to Matt Gaetz, who was prosecuted by the Justice Department over sex trafficking claims as of 11 April 2021. Gaetz had tweeted that he was a canceled man and attempted to blame his present woes on the Deep State.

Tiedrich is married to Claudia Long Tiedrich, who is eight years older than him. Claudia is a copywriter, creative director, and strategist by profession. The couple together has a daughter Katherine Chandler, born in November 1991.
