She attended regular American schools and two private Japanese schools. Hiraizumi is bilingual and speaks English and Japanese fluently. In an interview with UCLA, she revealed that she was raised with Japanese-style discipline and work ethic from preschool to 12th grade.
Hiraizumi is also a classically trained pianist, studied at Yamaha Music for over ten years. She spent years in Tokyo, initially pursuing an overseas singing career. However, she later pursued an acting career.
Hiraizumi began her acting career in 1999 after appearing in the TV series Frat Ratz as Vanessa. After that, she starred in several credits in the following years: Spyder Games (TV series 2001), The Source (movie 2002), Only the Brave (movie 2006), Titan Maximum (TV series 2009), and more.

On 21 January 2021, she shared an Instagram picture of her wedding and mentioned that she had been in multiple relationships prior to dating her husband. She also shared, "7 years together & 4 of those married. I joke and say he’s the longest relationship I’ve ever had....but it’s true.
