Who is Matthew Zuk?

Matthew Zuk is an American television and film actor born on 18 May 1990 in the United States. 

Zuk began his acting career at the age of 26 in the 2006 movie We Are Marshall. The following year, he appeared in the short film A Driving Vengeance and the short video Max Lucado 3:16: Stories of Hope. 

In the following years, Zuk continued to work in shorts and played in Super Southern Sweet Sixteen (2008), Redheaded Muse (2011), and Bitter Understanding (video 2013).

In 2014, Zuk landed the leading role of Todd in the TV movie Todd and Anne. After that, he continued to appear in several credits such as The 5th Wave (movie 2016), Rectify (TV series 2016), Mercy Street (TV series 2017), Miracle Workers (TV series 2019), Greyhound (film 2020), and more.

However, Zuk is widely known for his performance as Negative Man on the series Doom Patrol (2019-2021). In addition, he is also popular for appearing in the Fear Street series, Fear Street: Part One - 1994, Fear Street: Part Two - 1978, and Fear Street: Part Three - 1666.

Besides that, Zuk finished third in Jamie Kennedy's National Yoostar Acting Competition. His short film, Iris (2007), also won 'Best Dramatic Film' at the University of Georgia Campus Movie Fest and 'Best Dramatic Film' in the South-Eastern Regional.

Family

While much is not known about his family, Zuk occasionally takes to his Instagram to share about his family. For example, on Mother's Day 2015, he shared a picture with his mother and wished her for the occasion. "Happy Mother's day to this wonderfully inspiring woman," he captioned the image.

Moreover, he has a brother named Darryl Zuk, who lives in New York.

'Fear Street'

Fear Street is an American horror movie series that includes: Fear Street: Part One - 1994, Fear Street: Part Two - 1978, and Fear Street: Part Three - 1666. Zuk portrayed the role of Mayor Will Goode in all three films.

Fear Street series was filmed back-to-back and was released in 2021 on Netflix weekly. The films are all based on R.L. Stine's book series of the same name and directed by Leigh Janiak, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kate Trefry and Phil Graziadei.

The theme revolves around a group of teenagers who try to break the curse that has hung over their town called Shadyside for hundreds of years. 

Fear Street Part 1: 1994 follows teens in Shadyside who witness a murder case executed by the evil force, Fear Street Part 2: 1978 shows teens at Camp Nightwing who have to survive the fear of disturbed counselors, and Fear Street Part 3: 1666, the last part, involves the influences of the curse over the town in the mid-17th century.

'Doom Patrol' 

Doom Patrol is a TV series first released on 15 February 2019 and on 28 May 2020 on HBO and DC universe. Created by Jeremy Carver, the series follows the story of an idealistic mad scientist and his field team of superpowered outcasts.

Matthew Zuk provided the physical performance for Negative Man on set in full-body costume, whereas Matt Bomer voiced the same character. Zuk appeared for 34 episodes from 2019 to 2021.

The second season was premiered on 25 June 2020, on both DC Universe and HBO Max. The superhero series was renewed for a third season in September 2020, broadcasted on 23 September 2021, exclusively on HBO Max. 

Moreover, in the 2021 DC FanDome Event held on 16 October 2021, the Doom Patrol cast dropped hints to let fans know that HBO Max officially renewed the series for a fourth season. According to a Variety article from October 2021, the season four season will premiere in 2022. 

While no exact release date has been set, based on prior Doom Patrol releases, it is expected to premiere in the summer or fall of 2022 on HBO Max (according to Looper).
