Zach Grenier is an American actor born on 12 February 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey. 

Grenier began his career as a child actor in the theater. As a child, he toured with Boston's Little Flags, performing and playing guitar in two shows, Winds of People and The Furies of Mother Jones, in cities across the country.

Grenier's television career began in 1986 as Kenny Pack / Wirth in The Equalizer. He played the role for two episodes until 1989. He also made two appearances as studio engineer Bob Barsky on Kate and Allie in 1987. The following year, Grenier landed another role in the TV series Loving as Lou Phister.

Grenier debuted his film career as Jesse in Claude Gagnon's 1987 film The Kid Brother. The movie shows the story of a boy born with severe physical disabilities in a poor steel mill town near Pittsburgh.

Subsequently, he starred in several films in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It included Working Girl (1988), Talk Radio (1988), See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989), A Shock to the System (1990), Problem Child 2 (1991), Delirious (1991), Liebestraum (1991), and more.

Furthermore, Grenier featured in various TV shows and films before finally landing his breakthrough role on The Good Wife in 2010. He played the role of David Lee for six years until 2016.

Moreover, Grenier also appeared on The Good Wife's sequel show, The Good Fight, from 2017 to 2021. However, his most recent appearance was in the 2021 short film The White Stuff, as Dr. Zickel.

The Good Wife is a TV show that follows the story of Alicia Florrick, played by Julianna Margulies. She is the wife of a former state attorney who got imprisoned after a sex-corruption scandal. As a result, she returns to work as a litigator in a law firm to provide for her family.

Grenier played the role of bulldog equity partner David Lee, who gets caught up in an internal civil war. He was made a series regular in 2013 and reprised his role for 62 episodes from 2010 to 2016.

In an interview with the Vulture, Grenier talked about his character's mysterious and devious nature. He explained, "He cuts through everything to make sure he's still standing at the end. It's tricky, though, you have to be careful with a character like him. You don't want to know too much about him. You want him to remain a bit mysterious, like, what is his private life?" 

'The Good Fight'

The Good Fight is a crime drama TV series and the spinoff and sequel series to The Good Wife political drama. The show is created by Michelle King, Robert King, and Phil Alden Robinson. Then it follows the continued story of Diane Lockhart, played by Christine Baranski, who loses her life savings and has to start over at a new firm. 

Grenier Continued his role, David Lee, from the show's prequel, appearing from 2017 to 2021 for 13 episodes. The show comprises five seasons. However, it was renewed for a sixth season by Paramount in 2021 and is expected to release in late 2022.


Grenier is married to Lynn Bailey. However, not much is known about the pair's personal lives and their children.
