Jess Weixler is an American actress born on 8 June 1981 in Louisville, KY.
She graduated from Atherton High School in 1999. She later attended the Walden Theater Conservatory Program in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was a member of The River City Players and the Chamber Singers choral group.
After that, Weixler studied at Juilliard, where she was a classmate and friend of actress Jessica Chastain. She also took part in Bruce Brubaker's InterArts performance project at Juilliard during its first year.
Weixler debuted her acting career in the 2003 TV series Guiding Light, where she played the role of Caroline Boyle for one episode.
She was featured in several credits before starring as Dawn in the movie Teeth in 2007, for which she won the 'Breakthrough Award' at the Gotham Awards and the Sundance Film Festival's 'Special Jury Prize' in 'Dramatic' category.
