Thaddea Graham is a Chinese-born Northern Irish television actress. She first dabbled in acting with a small part in the 2014 short film Painkiller. Subsequently, she appeared with similar minor roles in The Sparticle Mystery (2015 TV series) and Dani’s Castle (2015 TV series).
Graham’s first significant acting role came in 2019 as Hanmei in the British action-drama TV series Curfew. It followed her other notable and recurring acting works, including The Irregulars (2021 TV series), Doctor Who (2021 TV series), and VHS (2021 short film).
Moreover, she has an upcoming TV mini-series Redemption set to release in 2022.
Early Bio and Parents
Thaddea Graham was born in China on 29 March 1997. Her adoptive parents adopted her from an orphanage in Changsha, China, when she was very young.
Graham’s parents are of Northern Irish descent. She spent most years of her childhood living with them in Ireland. Growing up, she was passionate about music and loved doing creative things.
Talking about her parents in an April 2021 interview with Grumpy Magazine, she said, “I don’t see my story as the fact that I was abandoned. I think [my biological parents] did it with the intention that they would give me a second chance at life, and I don’t want to disregard the incredible decision my parents made to adopt. So many people have opened doors for me and I don’t want to waste that.”
She did not have any thoughts of pursuing a career in acting. However, her mother later suggested enrolling in a drama school in the United Kingdom.
Taking her mother’s advice, she attended the Arts Educational School in London and later graduated with a fine arts bachelor’s degree.
While there, she performed in several stage plays and acts. Moreover, during the play titled People, Places, and Things, she realized she was meant for acting.
