From 1995 to 1997, Edwards worked as a correspondent in Time's Washington bureau, covering Bob Dole's presidential campaign, politics, society, and breaking news. "I went to a bakery to take a chocolate class. The pastry chef's name was Rocco. I was expecting someone older and European. Instead, it was this really handsome 33-year-old who had been the pastry chef at Le Bec-Fin," Edwards said.
Rocco Lugrine has been working as an Eas coast technical advisor for Barry Callebaut Group, one of the world's largest chocolate companies, since 2007. Previously, he worked as a pastry chef instructor at Art Institute from 2008 to 2017 and as a corporate pastry chef at Le Bec Fin Restaurant from 2007 to 2009.
On 15 September 2019, Edwards shared a photo of their wedding day and celebrated her 13th wedding anniversary with her husband.
