Subsequently, Sudduth appeared in several credits such as Elvis (TV series 1990), The Secret (TV movie 1992), Daybreak (TV movie 1993), Scam (TV movie 1993), As the World Turns (TV series 1993), and CBS Schoolbreak Special (TV series short 1994).

Sudduth attended Hampden-Sydney College and graduated with a BS in Biology in 1979. He then graduated with a master of fine arts, drama in theater from the University of Virginia in 1985.

Besides Sudduth's acting career, he is also a director of several TV series. He has directed three episodes of Third Watch (2003-2005), two episodes of ER (TV Series 2006-2007), one episode of Criminal Minds (2007), and Women's Murder Club (2007).
