Who is Sarah Jindra?
Born on 23 February 1982, Sarah Jindra is an American journalist, anchor, and traffic reporter. She is a native of the Chicago area but was raised in Westmont.
She earned a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004. She later attended Syracuse University and earned an M.S. in Broadcast Journalism in 2005.
Jindra began reporting traffic in Chicago in 2008 and had been assisting drivers in getting to and from work since then.
She initially served as a general assignment news reporter for WCIA-TV in Champaign before transitioning to traffic reporting. She began working as a weekend traffic reporter, fill-in NBC morning show traffic reporter, and fill-in helicopter reporter for WMAQ-TV from February 2008 to July 2012.
After that, she moved on to WBEZ-FM as a morning & afternoon drive traffic reporter, where she served for around four years until 2012. Jindra then signed with the WGN/CLTV team in August 2012.
She has been working as a breaking news and traffic reporter for WGN-TV since September 2014. Jindra contributes to WGN's 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. newscasts from the helicopter and on the ground.

Jindra and Her Husband Share Two Kids
Jindra got married to Brent Taylor on 21 April 2012. The couple first met in college and have two kids, Ty Patrick and Ava Kathryn.
On 21 April 2020, Jindra celebrated their eight-year wedding anniversary and took it to Instagram with the caption, "Met this guy in college, married him on this day in 2012 and am so thankful for the little family we've built Happy Anniversary, Brent!!!"
On 21 December 2021, she shared a post on her Instagram on her daughter Ava's 3rd birthday. She wrote, "Three years ago today, I called the @wgnmorningnews assignment desk around 2 a.m. to tell them I thought I was in labor and didn't think I could come in to work. By 5 a.m., Ava was born."
Jindra also recently posted a family picture on St. Patrick's Day on 20 March 2022. She captioned the photo, "Celebrating St Patrick's Day with family today!!! Corned Beef and Cabbage, Green River, Green Dyed Milk and amazing family time. Also, my 3-year-old tells me the "space buns" hair is all the rage."
