Robin Baumgarten is a two-time Emmy-winning anchor and aviation and transportation traffic reporter. Moreover, she is best known for anchoring the morning news segment on the WGN channel.
She joined WGN in 1996. Initially, she worked at the network as their traffic reporter covering aviation and transportation traffic news. Later, in 2004, she became the solo anchor for WGN's morning show at 5 am. Further, she was promoted to the position of the main anchor for the channel's news program from 5:30 am to 9 am.
Before joining WGN, Baumgarten worked at the Chicago-based company Shadow Broadcast Service. Alongside, she also served as a sports, news, and traffic reporter for Jonathon Brandmeier Show on WLUP Radio.
In addition, she has worked with ABC sports for around a year as a freelance reporter and also for CLTV news as their traffic reporter.
