Peter Palandjian is a former American professional tennis player and entrepreneur. Before his business career, he was a collegiate and professional tennis player. Palandjian played tennis professionally for over two years before officially retiring in 1989.
In the same year, he began his business career as an associate at a management consulting company, Bain & Company, for two years. Then, from January 1991 to August 1992, he was an assistant to the CEO of a retail company, Staples.
In June 1993, he became the CEO of Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation, which he holds to date. Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation is a private equity real estate investment management company founded by his father, Petros A. Palandjian, back in 1959. As the CEO, he oversees the corporation with primary responsibility for strategic planning and direction of all company activities.
Aside from handling his father’s company, Palandjian founded his non-partisan initiative called A Day for Democracy in July 2020 to encourage American business leaders to support their employees to access their right to vote in the 2020 local, federal, and state elections.
