Nick DiGiovanni is a television/internet personality best known for appearing in TV series like MasterChef USA (2010) and Charli Vs. Dixie (2021).

Who is Nick DiGiovanni?

Nick DiGiovanni is an American chef on social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, who started cooking at just eight years old. 

DiGiovanni created his self-titled YouTube account on 27 January 2016, where he has over 4.2 million subscribers, 351 videos, and over 1.4 billion views as of January 2022. His most viewed videos up to date include shorts like 'Eating Live Sea Urchin' (37 million views), 'Barbecue Chicken Wings' (25 million views), 'Buffalo Chicken Wings' (23 million views), 'Photographer vs. Videographer (Chef Edition)' (22 million views), and others.

DiGiovanni is also one of TikTok's most popular food creators in the United States, with over 8 million followers and 223 million views as of January 2022. Furthermore, he has over 1 million fan-following on Instagram and frequently uploads food recipes videos. 

Besides his social media career, DiGiovanni was a co-founder and president of the Harvard College Culinary Club from 2016 to 2018. He is also the co-founder of Voodles LLC since February 2017 and Osmo Salt Co. since July 2021.

'Masterchef'

DiGiovanni was a third-place finisher on Season 10 of Fox network's popular competitive-cooking show MasterChef USA. He was praised by celebrity chef-judges Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sanchez, and Joe Bastianich for his leadership abilities and culinary capabilities in the show. 

According to Forbes, DiGiovanni was named the 'Youngest-ever Finalist on MasterChef.' He also returned to the MasterChef kitchen as a coach for Season 11 according to June 2021 reports from Boston25.

After the season ended, he started to broaden his cooking skills under the mentorship of Joe Bastianich, one of the judges at the show. Even during the competition, DiGiovanni was inspired by Joe and also relate more to, because of their Italian backgrounds. In an interview with the Boston25, he said that although Joe was intimidating, he enjoyed working with him. 

"Yeah, Joe’s definitely intimidating. But I found him to be kind of like Gordon: super passionate about everything, and he was pretty straight forward about everything, which I liked, too. If he liked you he liked you—and if he didn’t, he made that known. We both come from Italian backgrounds, and I think that I have a pretty heavy interest in business, and he’s totally excelled in the business and food worlds. So I think pretty early on we really liked each other. I think most people had trouble getting through to Joe, but I enjoyed working with him a lot," DiGiovanni added.    

In December 2021, DiGiovanni got the 'Food Creator Of The Year' award from 'Streamys Awards.' He also shared the achievement on Instagram and wrote, "Food Creator Of The Year. But this is not my award. It belongs to YOU, my amazing team, and the many other incredible food creators out there that inspire me everyday."

Age and Early Bio

Nick DiGiovanni was born in Providence, RI, on 19 May 1996. As of January 2022, he is 25 years old. DiGiovanni was encouraged to pursue his career as a chef by his grandmother and great-grandmother. He is the eldest of four brothers.

DiGiovanni began cooking at the age of eight. He started by learning to bake to fulfill his sweet tooth. Then during high school, he began working in restaurants after being inspired by his grandmother and great-grandmother.

Eventually, he went to Milton Academy from 2012 to 2015. While there, he took part in athletics: sailing (3-time MVP, Co-Captain), hockey, and soccer. He also spent a summer abroad at Tsinghua University studying climate science in 2017. Briefly, he interned at Benu, a Michelin three-star restaurant in San Francisco, and spent time in the kitchen at Cambridge's famed Waypoint

DiGiovanni later went to earn a bachelor of arts in food and climate science from Harvard University in 2019. During his time at Harvard, he started Havard's first-ever concentration called Food and Climate. 

Does Nick DiGiovanni Have a Girlfriend?

DiGiovanni is not gay and is currently dating his girlfriend, Isabelle Tashima, since 2019. Tashima graduated from Harvard University on 29 May 2020. The couple celebrated their second anniversary on 1 February 2021.

DiGiovanni also shared a post on Instagram with the caption, "Two whole years of cooking, eating, and loving with this perfect girl. Every single day she's always behind the scenes helping, whether it's grabbing ingredients, helping me eat, or tossing a few things in the dishwasher. "

• He collaborated with fellow TikTok cook Lynn Davis to create a cake pop to set a Guinness World Record. According to Guinness World Records, the World's Largest Cake Pop by DiGiovanni and Davis weighed 97.5 pounds, had a circumference of over 50 inches, and was served on a 33-inch stick.
