Sioux was born Nia Sioux Frazier on 20 June 2001 to actress Holly Frazier and corporate executive Evan Frazier Sr. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has two siblings, brothers Evan Jr. and William.
In an interview with Daily Bruin in November 2021, Sioux said she always loved to learn and take classes, but she didn’t go to regular school for most of her childhood years. In June 2020, she graduated from high school.
As of 2022, Sioux is studying American literature and culture at the University of California, Los Angeles.
In 2011, Sioux became one of the original cast members of the dance reality show Dance Moms. She remained a permanent member throughout the run of the show. She primarily specialized in dance styles contemporary and musical theater.
Sioux and her boyfriend, Bryce Xavier, a fellow dancer and performer, were dating each other in 2017. In an interview with Teen Vogue, she said they met each other at a dance call in 2016.
Five months later, the two got an opportunity to work on the same project together. They eventually became close friends, started liking each other, and ultimately began dating each other. On 28 September 2017, they celebrated their three months of dating.
However, her romantic relationship with her boyfriend only lasted for a year. She revealed on her Instagram Story in August 2018 that they had gone separate ways. “A lot of people have noticed that Bryce and I don’t post much with each other lately, so I wanted to take this time to tell everyone that we are not together anymore. Truly blessed for the time we’ve shared, and I hope nothing but the best for him,” she wrote on Instagram Story.
After breaking up with her ex-boyfriend, she remained single. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in June 2021, Sioux didn’t have a boyfriend at the time, and she was happy with herself.

Sioux is also a recipient of the ’30 Under 30 Changemakers’ award, which she received from The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools. She earned the award for using her fame and social media to spread and inspire young people to pursue their dreams through her social media platform.
