Who is Michael Strahan?

Michael Anthony Strahan was born on 21 November 1971 in Houston, Texas. He began in a military family and started playing football in his final year of high school. 

He went to Westbury High School, and from 1989 to 1993, he studied at Texas Southern University on a football scholarship. Strahan began his 15-year-long NFL career right after college in 1993. He was drafted by the New York Giants and continued playing for them until 2007. 

He was named 'Pro-Bowler of the game' seven times. In addition, he is among the four players in the history of the NFL to lead two seasons as a quarterback. Eventually, in 2014, he was instigated into the 'Pro-Football Hall of Fame.'   

Subsequently, after retiring from NFL in 2008, he began as a football analyst on FOX News. Then from 2012 to 2016, he joined ABC News as a co-host of the show, Live with Kelly and Michael. 

Following that, in 2016, he began hosting the ABC competition show $100,000 Pyramid, and in 2018 he was given the position of co-host on the leading ABC show Good Morning America. 

Furthermore, Strahan founded his clothing brand MSX and COLLECTION by Michael Strahan in 2015 and a production company SMAC Entertainment in 2011. He is also a published author of the New York Times best-selling book, 'Wake Up Happy: The Dream Big, Win Big Guide to Transforming Your Life.'

Who is Michael Strahan married to?

Strahan was first married to the interior designer and founder of Wanda Home Designs, businesswoman Wanda Hutchins. He had two kids with her, daughter Tanita Strahan and son Michael Anthony Strahan Jr. They were together from 1992 to 1996. 

Then in 1999, he remarried Jean Muggli. They remained together till 2006, and their divorce was finalized in 2007. He had twin daughters with her, Isabella Strahan and Sophia Strahan. 

Subsequently, he was engaged to actor Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole Mitchell from 2009 to 2014. 

As of 2022, Strahan's present girlfriend is Kayla Quick. They initially met at a bar in Port Charlotte, where she was working as a waitress. They were first seen publicly at the 2015 Super Bowl after-party, where they confirmed their relationship. Other than that, he has remained private with his relationship with Quick. 

Is Michael Strahan Gay?

During his second divorce with Muggi, she claimed that Strahan was gay and an abuser. She accused him of sleeping with men during their marriage and trying to hide his sexuality. 

Strahan openly advocated for same-sex marriages and talked about homophobia in New York. He was all over the news because of Muggi's accusations. 

He eventually addressed this in a 2012 interview, as reported by Hollywood Mask. He explained that he was not gay and did not cheat on his wife alongside, claiming that he did not abuse her. 

He added that she made those comments because of their bitter turn in marriage. He was facing professional pressure, and at the same time, she had pregnancy difficulties. Eventually, they had a strenuous divorce which took over a year to settle.
