Matt Finn is a Los-Angeles based national correspondent for the FOX News Channel (FNC). 

Who is Matt Finn?

Matt Finn is an American journalist presently known for his extensive live reportings of the Ukraine-Russia conflict at Fox News. 

Finn is an alum of Temple University, Philadelphia. From there, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism.

During his student years, he was a student intern at WRTI radio, a reporter for The Temple News, and an anchor intern for NBC 10 for a semester. In addition, he also worked as a public relations reporter for the Fox School of Business and a Philadelphia street reporter for Philadelphia Neighborhoods. 

After completing his degree, he worked as a reporter and anchor for KIMA-TV in Washington and as a producer and stand-in reporter for WBRE-TV in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Then in 2013, he joined FOX News as part of the Junior Reporter program in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Joining FOX News and Covering Ukraine-Russia

During his initial years, Finn reported on local news of Nevada. It included his coverage of the killing of Fox Lake police officer Lt. Joe Gliniewicz, who arranged his suicide to seem like murder. He also reported on the first Bundy ranch confrontation in the Nevada desert in Las Vegas.

He was involved in investigative journalism from the beginning of his career. So for his work, the Society of Professional Journalists has recognized him while he has received the 'Peter Lisagor Award' for in-depth reporting. 

In addition, he has worked on big news items for the network, such as the death of Prince, the protests in Chicago following the killing of Laquan McDonald, and the 2016 presidential election, among other things. Then during the FOX News Democracy 2020 election coverage, he offered live reporting from Michigan during the 2020 presidential election. 

Furthermore, before he was given the work of reporting on the Ukraine-Russia Conflict, he covered the Jussie Smollett trial in Chicago, delivering live footage of the verdict outside the courtroom. And since 2021, he has been contributing to FNC's coverage of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, providing live reporting from Lviv, Ukraine.

On 10 May 2022, he recently updated a thankful and congratulations post for his crew members joining him in Ukraine.

He uploaded a series of behind-the-scenes pictures and wrote, "This week marks one month working in Ukraine. It would not be possible without many talented & focused colleagues. Able to stay dialed-in even as missiles strike. Security, producers, photogs, drivers, field techs and our invaluable interpreters also known as 'fixers' who truly do fix so much for us."
