Marjorie Elaine Bridges was born on 10 October 1964. She became prominent as the third and present wife of television star and businessman Steve Harvey.
She also appeared on shows like Extra in 2014, Steve Harvey as co-hostess from 2013 to 2017, and Steve from 2018 to 2019.
Marjorie first met Steve in 2005 when she went to his comedy show. According to Steve, she entered the hall mid-show, and he fell for her at first sight. "She came down front with her girlfriend. When I saw her, I quit breathing," Steve recollected. "I wasn't even talking."
Subsequently, Marjorie said he joked about marrying her on the show. "after a long period of silence, Steve finally told the audience, 'Okay, I gotta say something. Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know who this is, but I'm gonna marry her.'"
They eventually got married on 25 June 2007. They both were previously married and divorced with children. Steve was married to Marcia Harvey from 1981 to 1990. He had three children with her, Broderick Harvey Jr., alongside twins Karli and Brandi Harvey.
Then, he married Mary Shackelford from 1996 to 2005, having one son Wynton Harvey.

Marjorie's first husband, Jim Townsend, was a drug dealer who was convicted for trying to purchase 40 kilos of cocaine. He was investigated by the FBI and the DEA, as did Marjorie, who was not prosecuted because she was pregnant.
Townsend, on the other hand, received a life sentence in jail. Then, five years into his life sentence, Marjorie divorced him. Later, former President Barack Obama awarded him a pardon in 2017 after serving 26 years in prison.
