Lira Mercer is an American model, actress, and social media influencer. She rose to fame on Instagram and eventually pursued a modeling career. She has also appeared in the reality television series The Real Blac Chyna.

Lira Mercer was born in Houston, Texas, on 31 August 1993.

Parents

Mercer was born to African-American parents. In an episode of the chat show Iyanla: Fix My Life, she spoke up about her family background focusing on her father, Terrence. She also pointed out that Terrence was “immature” after noting that both parents were too young. “My dad lived three stoplights away from me, and he didn’t come and see me because he married a White woman, and he was playing daddy to her kid,” Mercer said.

Career

Mercer began her career as an exotic dancer. She would later create her Instagram account. Mercer eventually garnered attention and millions of fan following on Instagram through her bold, voluptuous, and skimpy photos. She has posted over 1,700 posts and accumulated over 4.2 million followers on her Instagram account as of October 2021.

After gaining prominence through Instagram, Mercer decided to become a glamour model. She later did a photoshoot for Hip Hop Weekly magazine in 2014.

In 2015, Mercer appeared as a guest in an episode titled ‘Rick Ross Discusses Engagement, Incarceration, Meek and Drake’ of The Breakfast Club. She also guest-starred in two episodes of the reality television series The Real Blac Chyna in 2019.

Mercer has also been featured in several music videos. In 2015, she appeared in Rick Ross’ music videos ‘Family Ties’ and ‘Geechi Liberace.’

Relationship with Rick Ross

In September 2015, Mercer got engaged with rapper Rick Ross, but they broke up a few months later. Reportedly, Rick Ross called off the engagement in November 2015, as per Hollywood Life. 

During a conversation with Iyanla in an episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life, she admitted that her relationship with Rick Ross was phenomenal at the beginning, but he eventually changed. Mercer revealed that one of her biggest concerns during her time with the rapper was being naïve.

Relationship with Pierre “Pee” Thomas

After parting ways with Rick Ross, Mercer dated the co-founder and CEO of Quality Control Music, Pierre “Pee” Thomas. The couple dated for a while and also got engaged. Mercer also took to Instagram in December 2018 to share that she and Thomas were expecting their child together. Unfortunately, she broke up with Thomas shortly after her announcement after he cheated on her with social media personality Kaylar Will, who was also expecting a child with Thomas. 

In a series of Instagram stories in December, Mercer slammed Thomas on his infidelity and accused him of taking back his engagement ring. She also claimed in one of her Instagram stories that she dealt with constant disrespect while dating Thomas. Some of the disrespectful things she mentioned were that he bullied and cheated on her.

“I’m tired of being bullied and disrespected when I’ve been nothing but nice to you and respected those around you. I never asked for none of the money, cars, bags ... These are all things you came at me with!”

She wrote. “I opened my heart up to accepting your kids and your extended family so what you won’t do is continue to treat me like you haven’t cried tears to me about how thankful you are to have me and for trying to help you work on you and the demons and issues you are battling wishing yourself.”

Daughter

In April 2019, Mercer gave birth to her daughter, Khaleesi Aurora, whom she shares with Thomas. 

Suing Thomas

A year after the cheating scandal, Mercer accused Thomas of abusing her during her pregnancy. She also accused her of neglecting their daughter while she was in his care. 

Thomas denied Mercer’s allegations against him and accused her of having a cocaine addiction. He also released text messages he claimed were from Mercer. In addition, he took to Instagram to share that he manages time to see his children despite his busy schedule. 

However, he was later fined for violating a court order that condemned discussing the case on social media. A judge also ruled that the text messages posted by Thomas had been altered with “false comments.” The court ultimately ordered Thomas to pay an $11,000 fine and also Mercer’s lawyer fees.

Besides being engaged to Thomas and Ross, Mercer has also been romantically involved with other celebrities. She has dated rapper Meek Mill, NFL player Earl Thomas, and NBA player Patrick Beverley.
