Larry Potash is a 14-time Emmy winner and a well-established news anchor and reporter. He is currently known as a news anchor on the Morning News Show for WGN TV.
Potash joined WGN in August 1994. After a year of his recruitment, he started anchoring the Morning News segment. Then, in 1996, he traveled to Asia with the purpose of making his daily feature multi-series Larry's World. In the documentary series, he covered various news articles, shared fun moments, and explored hidden facts about the pop culture of the people from Hong Kong and their transition to Chinese sovereignty.
Later in October 2018, Potash returned with his new series, Backstory with Larry Potash. He explored backstories from Chicago with fascinating historical-tales, religious, scientific, and cultural stories. The series' special episodes are broadcast on WGN TV at periodic intervals throughout the year.
Before joining WGN, Potash worked as a weekend anchor and political reporter at Oklahoma-based KOTV TV.
For his contribution to his outstanding achievements in his broadcasting career, Potash was rewarded with 14 'Emmy Awards.'
