Durda worked at KXTV for three years until 2005. After that, she left Sacramento and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she joined the CBS affiliate KHPO. During her time at KHPO, she became a member of the Phoenix-based CBS Storm Team and covered several weather reports, including Arizonian Dust Storms, Pacific Hurricane Seasons, etc.
In October 2007, Durda left KHPO to join WSVN Channel 7 as their full-time Morning Meteorologist in Miami, Florida. While still working there, she also attended her Bachelor's level classes at Mississippi State University. She received her Broadcast Meteorology degree from the university in 2009.
