Julie Durda is a Sacramento native meteorologist and weather reporter. She first ventured on TV as a Traffic and Weather Anchor for her hometown TV channel KXTV in 2002.

Who is Julie Durda?

Julie Durda is a Sacramento native meteorologist and weather reporter. She first ventured on TV as a Traffic and Weather Anchor for her hometown TV channel KXTV in 2002. It soon captivated her towards meteorology and the overall US weather.

Durda worked at KXTV for three years until 2005. After that, she left Sacramento and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she joined the CBS affiliate KHPO. During her time at KHPO, she became a member of the Phoenix-based CBS Storm Team and covered several weather reports, including Arizonian Dust Storms, Pacific Hurricane Seasons, etc.

In October 2007, Durda left KHPO to join WSVN Channel 7 as their full-time Morning Meteorologist in Miami, Florida. While still working there, she also attended her Bachelor's level classes at Mississippi State University. She received her Broadcast Meteorology degree from the university in 2009.

Durda served a total of five years and one month at WSVN. She was hailed the No.1 Morning Meteorologist in South Florida during her tenure. Moreover, she also earned the TV weather forecasting approval from the AMS (American Meteorological Society).

At present, Durda is serving as a meteorologist at Local 10 News. She joined the channel in October 2012 and has already spent over nine years in the position. 

Besides weather forecasting and anchoring, Durda has also had a stint on reality TV shows. In 2004, she appeared as a contestant in season 5 of the ABC reality television series, The Bachelor. She was part of the show until Week 3, after which she got eliminated. She recently shared a throwback picture of her participation days on her Facebook on 7 January 2020.

She Was a 49ers Cheerleader.

Durda was born in Sacramento, California, and grew up supporting her hometown American Football team, the San Francisco 49ers. In one of her interviews with Local 10 News, she mentioned that her family had been fans of 49ers for generations. She said,

“My family, born and raised Niners. Die hard. My parents, my grandparents, their grandparents. You get the gist.”

Durda grew up watching 49ers practice and games with her dad and brother. One day, she thought of becoming the cheerleader for the team. However, she was only eight years old at the time.

When she turned 18 years, she applied for the position of 49ers’ cheerleader and earned it. Durda then cheered for the team for around two years in the 2000s.

Husband

Durda has been married twice to date. She first married her ex-husband Bryan Francis on 19 December 2009 in Vacaville. However, the marriage only lasted for a brief while, and they divorced sometime in 2010.

Two years after her separation from her first husband, she tied wedding knots with her current partner David Radliff in 2012. Durda and Radliff are parents to their only child, son Dillion David.

Her Son Graduated Kindergarten in 2021

Durda’s son Dillion was born in June 2016. As of now, her baby is five years old and has already graduated Kindergarten.

Proud mother Durda celebrated her son’s graduation via a post on her Twitter handle. She congratulated her son and all other 2021 graduates with a Tweet that read,

“What a week of celebrating my hubby and I are so unbelievably proud of our Dillon #babyD it’s official!! Kindergarten here he comes we are so #blessed #GodisGreat congratulations to all the 2021 graduates.”
