Jeremy Jauncey was born on 23 August 1984 in Venezuela to a Scottish father and a Colombian mother. He grew up in Edinburg, Scotland, and has a younger brother named Tom.
During his school years, Jauncey played rugby for the national team of Scotland. When he was 18 years old, he traveled to New Zealand with the Scottish rugby team to hone his skills in rugby. At that time, he dreamt of becoming a professional athlete in the future. But, following a couple of serious injuries, Jauncey abandoned his career in sports and decided to become an entrepreneur. He then graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from King’s College London at the University of London in 2003.

After graduation, Jauncey began his entrepreneurial journey as a managing director of an e-commerce company called Next Jump in 2005. After working there for eight years, he co-founded a digital health and wellness platform called Tictrac in 2013. He served the company as a co-founder and chief revenue officer for over three and a half years, looking over sales and business development in the United States. From January 2011 to January 2015, he served the Entrepreneurs’ Organization as a UK board member. Jauncey also worked as a dealmaker for UK Trade & Investment’s Global Entrepreneur Program for one year in the mid-2010s.

Jauncey’s love for traveling began at 18 when he spent some time in Singapore during a layover while traveling to New Zealand from Scotland. He became fascinated by different people, cultures, and food. According to Jauncey, he had never stopped traveling since then. Later, he started a social media community of travelers called Beautiful Destinations in December 2012.
He believed that “travel was a force for good in the world and inspiring people to travel and respecting the environment would be something of value some day.” Jauncey originally started it as a passion project without a business plan. But, the social media-led travel community turned into becoming a modern marketing platform for modern travel businesses around the world. The innovative company also inspired many travel start-up companies worldwide.

Jauncey has been dating former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach since 31 December 2019. They kept their relationship unannounced at that time. They marked their first anniversary on 31 December 2020.
