Besides commentating on the news, Riley is also a longtime member of the international daily newspaper, Wall Street Journal (WSJ). He joined WSJ in 1994 as a columnist writing opinion pieces on topics like politics, race, social inequality, education, immigration, and many more.
Later, in 2000, he received a promotion as the senior editorial page writer of the Wall Street Journal. Furthermore, in 2005, he became a member of the journal’s Editorial Board.
