Jason O'Mara is an Irish American actor and voice-over artist. He has voiced the superhero character Batman in several DC Comics animated films.

Who is Jason O'Mara?

Jason O'Mara is an actor, voice artist, writer, producer, and TV personality. His fans primarily recognize him as Wyatt Price from the Amazon Prime series The Man in the High Castle. O'Mara appeared in 20 episodes of the series from 2018 to 2019.

Beginning his acting journey with a minor role in the 1995 short film Summertime, O'Mara has now added 71 acting credits to his resume. His famous works include Berkeley Square (1998 TV mini-series), Monarch of the Glen (2001 TV series), Life On Mars (2008 TV Movie), One for the Money (2012 Film), Vegas (2012-2013 TV series), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2016-2017 TV series), and many more.

Similarly, his list of most recent projects incorporates Departure (2021 TV series), Truth Be Told (2021 TV series), and Hypnotic (2021 film). O'Mara is also working on his upcoming major film, Your Lucky Day.

Early Bio and Education

Jason O'Mara was born in Dublin, Ireland, on 6 August 1972. He took birth as the eldest of his parents' two children, Stephen O'Mara and Veronica O'Mara. 

His only sibling, Rebecca O'Mara, is also an actress best recognized for her notable roles in Thomas & Friends (2013-2015 TV series), The Best of Thomas & Friends Clips (2015-2020 TV series), Doctors (2007-2020 TV series), etc.

Growing up in Dublin, he attended Trinity College for his higher education. He then studied theater and eventually graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in drama and theater.

Although born in Ireland, O'Mara later moved to England to look out for opportunities in the acting field. The actor also spent several years working as an artist in repertory theaters.

Furthermore, in 2002, Jason permanently relocated to the USA, becoming a prominent on-screen face. He was then granted American citizenship in 2009.

Voicing Batman

Besides being an award-winning actor, O'Mara is also a voice-over artist. He has contributed his voice to several DC Animated movie characters, including the DC Comics superhero, Batman. 

He has voiced Batman for seven different animated movies of the DC Universe, including Justice League Dark (2017), The Death of Superman (2018), Batman Hush (2019), Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020), etc.

Wife

O'Mara married his now ex-wife Paige Turco on 19 September 2003. The pair got engaged nine months after they started dating, with O'Mara popping the question when they were on vacation in Jamaica.

O'Mara previously claimed he was drawn to Turco because she is "strong and assertive," and the couple tried everything to keep their romance alive.

In a 2012 interview, he stated: "I go for strong and assertive women. As my wife would attest, she knows what she likes, and I like a woman who knows what she wants. We try to have romantic evenings at other points in the year not just Valentine's Day. I tend to get a gift and go out to dinner, but what we like to do is special things throughout the year."

They were married for nearly 14 years before eventually parting ways in May 2017, citing "irreconcilable differences." Neither party has yet disclosed the actual reason for their separation. However, it was Turco who initiated the divorce procedure.

Turco is an actress who mainly earned fame as Dr. Abigail Griffin from the science fiction TV series The 100. Beginning her career in the late 1980s, she has spent around four decades in the acting industry. Her debut role was as Dinah Morgan in Guiding Light. From 1987 to 1989, she appeared in 36 episodes of the series.

Moreover, Turco has garnered her decades-long career with various acting roles in around four dozen of movies and TV shows. Her most notable works are in The Agency (2001-2003 TV series), Rescue Me (2006 TV series), Invincible (2006 Movie), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2001-2011 TV series), The 100 (2014-2020), etc. 

Lately, she appeared in the 2020 horror fiction movie Books Of Blood as Nicole's character.

Kids

Turco and O'Mara are parents to their only son David O'Mara. He was born in 2004 and is 18 years old as of 2022.

During his divorce from his wife, the pair agreed to the joint legal custody of their son. However, O'Mara decided to pay for child and spousal support.
