Jana Hocking is an Australian news website columnist and podcaster. She has mainly gained fame as the host of the podcast Kinda Sorta Dating on news.co.au.

Jana Hocking is a radio producer, dating columnist, podcaster, and TV personality. She runs a podcast named Kinda Sorta Dating on news.com.au. 

Through the podcast, she provides expert dating advice to people of all ages and assists them in finding their true love.

Hocking began her podcasting career with her show, Jana with a J. She ran the show from September 2019 to May 2021. While still working on her first podcast, she joined news.com.au as their podcaster and dating columnist in June 2020.

Besides podcasting, Hocking has also appeared in several TV shows as a guest. On 10 February 2022, she appeared on Ticker News, where she discussed TV series like Sex and the City and And Just Like That.

Hocking attended the Arndell Anglican College from 1997 to 2002 for her junior and high school education. Then, she enrolled in Charles Sturt University in 2005 and studied Journalism. Subsequently, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Journalism in 2008.

However, on 2 October 2021, she shared a picture with a newborn child. Alongside the picture, she wrote,

However, she has a history of dating. In one of the episodes of her podcast on news.com.au, Kinda Sorta Dating in June 2021, Hocking discussed the whole experience of her dating disaster with the show's guest Alisha Aitken. 

As per the podcast, she was in her mid-20s when she dated a guy (name not given). The pair had separated earlier, but she thought of giving their relationship a second chance and decided to travel halfway across the world from Sydney, Australia, to London. She planned for a two-week trip only to be with him. However, things did not turn out as she expected, and she had to head back home just after the second night in London.

In Hocking's words,

Flew the whole way there, by the second night we were in a massive, giant fight and I just remembered, 'Oh yeah, you're a massive douchebag,' and then had to fly the whole way home.
