Heidi Przybyla is a renowned veteran journalist. She has primarily gained fame as the senior news correspondent for NBC News' Washington DC-based office.

Who is Heidi Przybyla?

Heidi Przybyla is a veteran political reporter and news correspondent. She is currently associated with NBC News, Washington as their main correspondent. She joined the channel in January 2018 and has ever since covered numerous major national and international news.

Her list of most important coverages as an NBC correspondent includes the 2020 presidential election, incapability of Trump's government in distributing the Covid vaccine during its initial phase, etc.

Before joining NBC, Przybyla was the senior political correspondent of the American daily newspaper, USA Today. She worked there for around two and a half years, from August 2015 to January 2018.

Moreover, she has spent most of her journalism career with Bloomerang News in Washington D.C. 

She initially joined the channel as their White House Reporter in 1999. After six years in the position, i.e., in 2005, she became their senior political reporter. Later, again in October 2010.

Przybyla was promoted to the position of Congressional Reporter, which she held for another four and a half years. Overall, she worked with Bloomerang for approximately 16 years.

Birthplace and Upbringing

Przybyla took birth on 18 November 1973. Although born in Alexandria, Virginia, she grew up alongside her three siblings in Michigan.

She dreamt of becoming a journalist ever since she was a little kid. After completing her high school education at a local school, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Michigan in 1997. Moreover, she also studied the German language at the university.

Immediately after graduation, Przybyla's career got a flying start when Washington Business Journal hired her as their full-time reporter.

Parents

Although Przybyla has not shared her mother's name with the public, her father was John Przybyla. He worked as a furniture mover at Corrigan Moving Systems in Michigan. Sadly, he passed away amidst the Covid-19 pandemic on 12 May 2020. 

However, the reason for her father's demise was not Covid. Rather, he died of Cardiac arrest. She shared the sad news the next day via her Twitter account @Heidi Przybyla. She wrote,

Last night for the last time we held our precious father as he left us, peacefully, listening to his favorite music and surrounded by the love of the family he created. John Przybyla was the light in my heart, the most loving, gentle, humble, witty father any girl could ask for.

Przybyla also regularly shares about her mother on her social media handles. For example, on her mother's 78th birthday on 8 September 2021, she praised and wished her with a collage picture on her Instagram handle @heidiprzybyla. 

Husband

Przybyla has been married to her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Trabb. He is an Irish native cardiologist currently based in Maryland, USA. 

Jeffrey earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. As of now, he serves at several health facilities in the USA like MedStar St. Mary's Hospital, Medstar Southern Maryland Healthcare Center, and Medstar Washington Hospital.

Przybyla has also shared several pictures of her husband on her Instagram account. Moreover, on 31 August 2020, she posted photos of her mother and Jeffrey standing under a board that read, "BE GOOD TO YOUR MOTHER-IN-Law." 

The pair are parents to their two children, daughter Phoebe, and son Dylan from their marriage.
