Who is Hazel Sanchez?
Hazel Sanchez is a Filipino-American journalist born in 1972. Her parents are Dr. Manuel M. Sanchez, a retired anesthesiologist, and Carlota R. Sanchez.
Sanchez studied Broadcast Journalism at a private university in Wisconsin, Marquette University, from 1990 to 1994. Following graduation, she worked at WBAY-TV as Weekend Anchor and Assignment Reporter from 1994 to 2000.
Subsequent to that, from 2000 to 2001, she was the Assignment Reporter and Anchor for WCBS CBSN New York. During her over twenty years of anchoring, she was one of the 'Top 100 Most Influential Filipinas in the United States' by the Filipina Women's Network in 2009. In addition, she was the TOFA 2017 'Outstanding Filipinos in America Award' and the 2020 ' Top 100 Most Influential Filipino Americans.'
Then, recently in 2021, Sanchez joined the PIX11 as Morning News Anchor. She began airing in September alongside Dan Mannarino. She disclosed her enthusiasm for joining the network during the press release.

Sanchez's Husband and Family
Sanchez has been married to Peter Joseph Rapciewicz since 8 October 2011. Joseph works at the financial and insurance company American International Group as their Assistant Vice-President. He is an alum of Susquehanna University, Pennsylvania.
Their wedding was held at the Presbyterian Church in Fifth Avenue, New York. The couple has two daughters, Avery, born in 2014, and Kenzie, born in 2016.
