Given Sharp is an American actress and artist. She has primarily gained fame from portraying Shawna in the superhero TV series Swamp Thing (2019).

Who is Given Sharp?

Given sharp is a professional webcomic artist and actress. She began appearing on screen at a very young age of 12. Her first acting role was as an art student in the 2009 short film A Peacock-Feathered Blue. 

Sharp's debut followed her minor role appearance in the TBS TV series House of Payne in 2010. The following year, she also made her movie debut as Sassy April in the 2011 film Mandie and the Forgotten Christmas.

Later, in 2019, Sharp landed a recurring role as Shawna Sunderland in the DC superhero horror series Swamp Thing. Her character Shawna, who is already dead, is a childhood friend of the show's female lead character Abby portrayed by Crystal Reed. Thus, she appears in the series' flashbacks and also to her mother as a ghost. She has appeared in 6 out of 10 episodes of the series.

Additionally, Sharp's other notable acting works are in Holden On (2017 film), The Gifted (2019 TV series), The Perfect Race (2019 film), Teenage Bounty Hunters (2020 TV series), The Devil All The Time (2020 film), etc. In her last film, The Devil All The Time, she appeared alongside several famous actors like Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, and Bill Skarsgard.

Acting from Early Age 

Given Sharp was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on 21 January 1997. Her parents named her after their old family surname. She has not given out her parents' names and her siblings' information in the media.

As a kid, Sharp developed an interest in arts and acting and began performing at local theatres from a young age. She then eventually transitioned from stage to TV, and by the age of 18, she had bagged varied roles in several TV series and short films.

In an interview with the VoyageATL, she revealed that she started theater to "come out of her shell'' and be more confident about herself. And subsequently, she got better at it and also received encouragement. 

"I began acting in local theatre productions as a kid as a way to come out of my shell. I ended up really developing a passion for it though and was eventually urged by a castmate to look into acting professionally. After getting an agent, I began working in film and television in Atlanta as a teenager," she disclosed.

Independent Art

Alongside acting, Sharp has also pursued the path of creativity and arts professionally. She believes that her journey to becoming an artist has helped her grow as a person and taught her the importance of having patience. Speaking about her love and dedication towards arts with shoutoutatlanta.com in May 2021, she said,

I feel that I've pursued a career in the arts for the same reason most artists do; I just can't imagine myself doing anything else. I'm at my best when I'm creating. Whether that's in front of a camera or behind a canvas, I have a need to make art.

Sharp specializes in making cartoon videos and webcomics. Moreover, she has an Instagram account titled @giv.sharp.art dedicated to sharing her arts with the world. As of now, she has posted around 200 of her artworks in it and has amassed 724 followers.

Does Given Sharp have a Boyfriend?

As of now, Sharp shares a romantic relationship with her boyfriend, Kevin Gordon. She has not disclosed when she began dating him. However, she has been posting pictures with him on her Instagram handle @givensharp for a long time now. Lately, i.e., on 15 January 2022, she also posted several photos of the couple on her Instagram.
