Born in Berkeley, California, on 28 October 1962, Daphne Eurydice Zuniga is an actress. She had expressed her interest in acting in her early teens and had subsequently attended the Young Conservatory Program of the American Conservatory Theater of San Francisco.
Her mother, Agnes A., was a Unitarian minister of Polish and Finnish descent, and her father, Joaquin Zuniga, is from Guatemala. He was an emeritus philosophy professor at California State University. Zuniga has two sisters, Jennifer Zuniga and Rosario Zuniga.
After her parents separated, she moved with her mother and sister to Reading, Vermont. Zuniga later returned to California to enroll in the University of California (UCLA), where he graduated with a major in theater arts.
The actress made her film debut as a supporting role in the film The Dorm That Dripped Blood (1982) while she was still a student at UCLA. She later appeared in the horror film The Initiation (1984).
In the following year, Zuniga bagged a lead role in the romantic-comedy film, The Sure Thing. She later starred as Princess Vespa in Spaceballs (which is looked upon as a "memorable cult comedy") in 1987. Zuniga then played a supporting part in The Fly II (1989), a science fiction horror film.
On the small screen, she played the role of Jo Reynolds on the popular soap opera Melrose Place from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, she also appeared on Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, in 1994.
She then bagged a lead role as Shelly Pierce on American Dreams from 2004 till 2005, and Zuniga played the role of Victoria Davison in this series.
In 2008, she got a recurring role as Victoria Davis on the popular series, One Tree Hill. The show follows the story of Half Brothers Lucas and Nathan about their kinship and rivalry on basketball and friendship. She appeared in 40 episodes from 2008 to 2012.
In recent years, she has appeared on TV as Stacy Gordon in NCIS (2020) and Margot in Fantasy Island (2021).
'Melrose Place'
Zuniga amassed wider mainstream exposure through the famous soap opera Melrose Place (1992-1999). She portrayed the role of a photographer Jo Reynolds in the series and appeared in over 110 episodes from 1992 to 1996.

Zuniga married her husband, David Mleczko, on 8 June 2019 at the age of 56. The couple had an intimate ceremony in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In a 2019 interview with People, she revealed that they had been together for 12 years and engaged for two and a half years. She also said that they had met when she was 44 years old. "Even though I didn't want kids of my own, I love his kids. They are like my bonus children, and we have the best time together," she said.
