Divorce

Hendrix met and married firefighter and wrestler Jason Carrion as a stranger on 23 March 2014 on Married at First Sight season 1. Though being strangers, they quickly fell in love with one another and committed to continue their marriage on Decision Day, becoming one of two couples from their season to remain together at the end of the show.

Another couple who decided to stay together was Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis Hehner.

Though the Hehner couple is still living together, happily, with their two children, the marriage of Hendrix and Carrion ended with a divorce after five years.

A March 2021 Screen Rant article wrote that the couple’s split was one of the franchise’s “most shocking, surprising, and devastating events.” Nonetheless, the website further described that the couple shared the same values in terms of their devotion to religion and family, and they were happy together during the show.

However, when they appeared on the show’s spin-off, Married At First Sight: First Year, their conflicting work schedules began to put a strain on their relationship. Carrion would spend 13 hours a day as a firefighter while Hendrix was busy with her makeup business.

Hendrix and Carrion filed for divorce in February 2019 following a six-month separation. Explaining the reason for their divorce in an interview with The List, she said, “It just really came down to, the things I wanted in life no longer matched up with things he wanted in life.”

The makeup artist also announced her divorce on Instagram on 28 March 2019.

Current Husband

Shortly after her divorce from Carrion, Hendrix started posting her pictures with her new partner and current husband, Sherm, on Instagram.

After dating for several months, she tied the knot with Sherm on 30 October 2020 in an intimate wedding ceremony in North Carolina. They met one another through mutual friends in late 2018.
