She says 'Mother's Day' was Her Least Favorite Film
Mother's Day is a 2010 psychological thriller film directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. It follows the three brothers who return to their childhood home on the run from the law, but they discover their mother lost the house in a foreclosure.
Then the brothers hold the new homeowners and their guests hostage and terrorize them. Finally, she ingeniously orchestrates her sons' escape when their mother arrives.
Evigan portrayed the role of Annette on Mother's Day. In an interview with nerdly.co.uk in 2010, she shared that she had a great experience working on the film.
She explained, "Mother's Day was great. Darren Bousman, the director, was fantastic–I got to have so much fun on that trip, I made such good friends and as scary and messed up as that film is–obviously it's very disturbing–none of that played off set and we all had to have a really good time. I had so much fun playing the character I got to play, Annette, she's a really tough girl and I got to dye my hair red, which was kinda cool. [It was] really fun. It's a disturbing movie, I'm excited to see it."
However, she later told Sunday World in August 2021 that Mother's Day was her least-liked film. She explained, "I can't say I have a worst project i've worked on, but I'd say 'Mother's Day' the film was my least favorite only because I'm not a fan of torture films."
She has Several Upcoming Projects
In an interview with Sunday World on 12 August 2021, the film actress said that she had been working on a film close to her heart, and the film would start filming in early 2022.
Speaking about her part in the film, she said, "The role I will be taking on as an actor is a challenge that I am ready to conquer. I've only been here [South Africa] for 5 weeks and can only imagine what will develop within me mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually to become the character written for me by the time we get to production."
According to IMDb, Evigan has four upcoming projects. She would appear in films such as Love and Communication, Just Below Sunset, Ask Me to Dance, and the short film Four Hour Layover in Juarez. All of her upcoming projects are in post-production as of April 2022.
