Holley is a multi-award-winning reporter and journalist. She stepped into professional journalism in January 2009. Before that, she worked for three months from June 2008 to August 2008 as an intern in the Interactive Department of Reach Media in Dallas, Texas.
At the beginning of her journalism career, Holley worked as a reporter and co-anchor for the KOMU-TV channel in Missouri. Holley completed her high school studies at a local high school in Texas. Later, she joined the University of Missouri for a master's degree. She majored in broadcast journalism alongside Spanish language and sociology as minor subjects.
Holley’s father, Robert Gustafson, is a doctor, and her mother, Diane, is a medical nurse. She also has a godfather and her paternal grandfather, whose names she has not disclosed yet. However, she has shared several pictures of them on her social media handles.
