Shaina Humphries is an American journalist born on 23 July 1989 in Chicago, Illinois. Humphries graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.

Humphries began her career in 2012 after graduating from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism with a master's degree.

As a reporter and evening anchor, Humphries worked for six years at KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa. She oversaw the station's State of Addiction project in 2017, spending a year focusing on how Iowa was affected by the opioid epidemic besides her regular anchor duties.

During her time there, she briefed several stories about addiction, recovery, and the complicated role of opioids in modern medicine. She also hosted a 90-minute 'Emmy Awards' nominated prime time special show. It featured people affected by opioid addiction, local and federal law enforcement, medical and healthcare professionals, and emergency responders. 

Humphries also received the 'Upper Midwest Emmy Award' for her work on the #MeToo movement's early impact.

After leaving KCCI-TV, she joined FOX 29 News in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as an evening co-anchor in 2019.
