In the same episode, Pinkett Smith said, "I think I didn't find out my mother was addicted to heroin until I was in my teens."
However, she celebrated her 31 years of sobriety in December 2021. Banfield-Norris also shared a video on her Instagram talking about the milestone on 22 December 2021.
She said, "Today is my anniversary, my clean date. Thirty-one years, one day at a time."
