Coyote Ugly is a comedy-drama movie released on 4 August 2000. Garcia played the role of Kevin O'Donnell in the film.

Coyote Ugly follows Violet Sanford, played by Piper Perabo, a young woman in her early twenties who travels to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming a songwriter. Violet then gets a day job as a bartender at Coyote Ugly, a nightclub. Coyote Ugly is the city's newest hot spot, and the employees are a group of women who annoy the customers and the press with their misbehavior.

The movie also features John Goodman as Bill Sanford, Maria Bello as Lil, Izabella Miko as Cammie, Tyra Banks as Zoe, Bridget Moynahan as Rachel, Melanie Lynskey as Gloria, and others.

Appearing on The Morning Show in 2020, Garcia stated he had to downplay his dancing abilities for the film to be more authentic. "The whole thing sort of came about because they realised I was a dancer, and they realized they can put this scene in," he added.
