'Longmire' is a western genre TV series released in June 2012, in which Bartley plays the role of Sheriff's Deputy Archie "the Ferg'' Ferguson. In the show, Bartley's character, Ferguson, is initially hired as a favor to his father, but he gradually proves himself to be a valuable member of the team. He played the role for all six seasons until the A&E/ Netflix drama ended in 2017. 


Adam Bartley is an actor well known for his role in the television series Longmire as Archie 'the Ferg' Ferguson.

Adam Bartley is an American actor born on 28 January 1979 in Minnesota. Bartley started performing on-stage in the seventh grade after having a crush on a girl who had auditioned for a production. He also auditioned for the show and was later cast as the lead. 

He then studied acting at the Southern Methodist University acting program in Dallas. Upon graduating, he moved to New York City, Chicago, Aspen, and Alaska, where he performed in local theater companies and worked as an acting instructor and coach.

Bartley debuted his professional acting career in the short 2001 movie Fish Don't Wear Clothes as Karl Mahoney. He then worked as a producer for the documentary El inmigrante in 2005. However, he didn't appear as an actor until 2011, when he starred in TV series like 1000 Ways to Die, Criminal Minds, Get Busy, and Chuck.

He then continued to work as an actor in the coming years. He appeared in notable movies and TV series, including Vegas (TV series 2013), Killer Women (TV series 2014), Lucifer (TV series 2016), Longmire (TV series 2012-2017), Love, Death & Robots (TV series short 2019), Kajillionaire (movie 2020), Call Me Kat (TV series 2021), and more.

'Longmire'

Longmire is a western genre TV series released in June 2012, in which Bartley plays the role of Sheriff's Deputy Archie "the Ferg'' Ferguson. 

Longmire is a show about criminals, thieves, and cowboys who wreak havoc in Wyoming's frigid landscape. Sheriff Walt Longmire, played by Robert Taylor, rules Absaroka County with an iron fist. Yet, at the same time, he struggles to fit in with his surroundings while solving kidnappings, murders, and burglaries.

In the show, Bartley's character, Ferguson, is initially hired as a favor to his father, but he gradually proves himself to be a valuable member of the team. He played the role for all six seasons until the A&E/ Netflix drama ended in 2017.

Played a Character at Weight Loss Camp in 'This Is Us'

Bartley was cast in the NBC TV series, This Is Us shortly before the last season of Longmire ended in 2017. Bartley played the role of Duke, an egocentric worker at Kate's (played by Chrissy Metz) weight-loss camp who develops feelings for her. 

He played the role of Duke for three episodes, where he was also seen continually hitting on Kate despite her engagement. He also quips that the camp is a mockery.

This Is Us follows a set of triplets, their challenges, and their parents.

New Projects 

After Longmire, Bartley played the role of two police officers in Annabelle: Creation (2017) and Under The Silver Lake (2018). Then in 2019, he voiced Sergeant Sobieski, a werewolf marine, in the short Netflix series Love, Death & Robots

In the same year, Bartley portrayed the role of Golf on an episode of the television show The Magicians. He was also featured in 2021 TV series like Call Me Kat, Snowfall, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

In addition, Bartley was also cast in the Amazon science fiction TV series, Lightyears as Byron in May 2021, which is currently under filming. Besides, he would also appear as Duck in the short film The Last Straw, which is under the post-production stage as of this writing.

Does Adam Bartley Have a Wife?

There is no information about Bartley being married or in a relationship. However, reportedly, he was previously in a relationship with a girl named Alia. They were also seen together on the red carpet in 2016.

In March 2016, a Facebook page called Longmire Posse, an official fansite, also posted a photo of Bartley and Alia and captioned, "Adam Bartley, getting fitted for Longmire S5! (With girlfriend Alia).
