Who is Zerlina Maxwell?

Maxwell is a law graduate from the Rutgers University School of Law who initially worked as a paralegal before becoming a freelance writer and political analyst.

While working as a paralegal from 2004 to 2011, she contributed articles to various online magazines and wrote on the country's ongoing political and social issues. From 2015 to 2016, she worked as a contributing writer to Essence Magazine.

In 2016, she was the director of progressive media for Hilary Clinton's presidential campaign. She was also the campaign spokesperson for the presidential debates.

Following that, Maxwell gave her democratic political analysis on Fox News and MSNBC. She was also a weekly guest and fill-in host of the Sirius XM Progress' Make It Plain, along with Mark Thompson. Maxwell then began co-hosting Sirius XM's Signal Boost with Jess McIntosh, where they dissect the country's political events with esteemed political personalities.

Early Life

Zerlina Maxwell was born on 16 November 1981 in Millburn, New Jersey. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in international relations and affairs in 2003 from Tufts University. In 2009, she joined the Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Rutgers University, Newark, and eventually graduated in 2013.

Maxwell has openly expressed her perspective on remaining single than being in an unhappy marriage.

In 2019, she confessed on her Twitter that her ideal type of partner was lawyer Douglas Emhoff, second gentleman, and husband of USA Vice-President Kamala Harris.
