Who is Warren Demartini?
Warren Justin Demartini aka, Warren Demartini, is a renowned hard rock musician and songwriter. He first rose to international fame as the lead guitarist of the famous 1980s glam metal band Ratt. As of now, he is associated with the internationally famous hard rock supergroup, Kings of Chaos.
Demartini was born on 10 April 1963 in River Forest, Chicago, Illinois. He took birth as the youngest child in a family of six children. Although the details of all his family members are not available, his elder brothers, James Demartini and Bernard Demartini were musicians. Moreover, his mother was also into music and played piano. Thus, Warren eventually drew inspiration from his own family and set his goal to become a musician himself.

Ratt
In 1981, Ratt, also known as Mickey Ratt, invited Demartini to join them as their lead guitarist in Los Angeles. He joined the band to replace the famous American guitarist, Jake E. Lee, who later joined Ozzy Osbourne in 1982. During his first year at Ratt, he lived with Lee and learned the band's first album songs.
With Ratt, Demartini gained high fame for his lead guitar expertise. In addition, he contributed as a co-writer of several famous 80s songs like 'Way Cool Jr,' 'Round and Round,' 'Dance,' etc. In the 1980s, Ratt was one of the most popular and highest-selling metal bands. Their most notable studio albums are Out of the Cellar (1984), Dancing Undercover (1986), Reach for the Sky (1988), Detonator (1990), etc.
Why did Warren leave Ratt?
Ratt disbanded for the first time in February 1992. However, Demartini parted ways with Ratt because of a rift between the band's original members Stephen Pearcy, Bobby Blotzer, Juan Croucier, and Demartini himself.
Post-Ratt and Returns
After leaving Ratt, Demartini worked for a short while with the American glam band Dokken in 1993 and toured with Whitesnake (hard rock band) in 1994. He then worked on his solo projects and released his only studio album, Crazy Enough to Sing to You, in 1996.
In 1997, he reunited with Ratt and launched albums like Collage (1997) and Ratt (1999). However, both the albums failed to perform at the commercial level.
Demartini left the group again in 2003 and joined the heavy metal band, Dio. He only stayed with Dio for a few practice sessions and left them due to irreconcilable differences with its founding member Ronnie James Dio. He then regrouped with Ratt for the last time in 2007 and became part of their several summer tours before leaving again in March 2018.
As of 2021, Demartini is a part of Kings of Chaos, the Chicago-based hard rock band. The group includes very successful artists like Gilby Clarke, Matt Sorum, and Def Leppard. He joined them on 22 June 2019.
