Tricia Macke is a veteran American TV reporter and anchor. She had disclosed her exact birth date yet. However, her Instagram post dated 30 January 2019 suggests she was born sometime in 1969 in Newport, Kentucky, USA. Thus, her age as of 2022 is 53 years.
For education, Macke attended Newport Central Catholic High School in her hometown and graduated in 1987. After that, she studied Communication and Journalism at Northern Kentucky University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1992.
Macke has over 30 years of experience working as a news anchor. She first started her anchoring journey as a midday news anchor and producer on WCKY Radio in 1990. After two years there, she joined Fox19 WXIX-TV channel in October 1993. Initially, the channel hired her as a freelance reporter. In only two years in the organization, she became the weekend edition anchor of the show, Ten o’clock News.
Later, in 1998, Macke began hosting 19 in the Morning alongside her co-host Rob Williams. One year later, i.e., in 1999, she received a promotion to become the main anchor of the show, Ten o’clock News. Moreover, she is also the main anchor of Evening News @630 since August 2008.
As part of the Fox19 WXIX-TV team for so long, Macke has reported and covered stories from several countries around the globe, including Bosnia, Germany, Israel, the USA, etc. She also reported news on infamous NFL star O.J. Simpson’s murder trial, John Glen’s return to space, and many more.
Furthermore, 18 October 2018 marked the 25th anniversary of WXIX-TV. The channel celebrated the occasion, and Macke was the only original member still working there.
She is Married to a Patent Lawyer
The Fox19 veteran has been married to her husband, Chris. He is a Kentucky native and an alum of the University of Kentucky. In addition, he is a Central Law School graduate and currently works as a patent lawyer.
Macke and her husband Chris are parents to a total of five children, Kaitlyn, Spence, Dash, Saylor, and Piper. However, Kaitlyn is not their biological daughter. Instead, she is the daughter of Macke’s late sister, who died of cancer in 2005. After her sister’s death, Macke took Kaitlyn under her and raised her ever since.
Macke’s Fort Thomas House
Macke and her husband own a 3,625-square-foot house in Fort Thomas. The pair live there along with their five children.
In an interview with cincinnati.com in April 2014, Macke walked everyone through the details of her house. It is a large spacious property with a family playground including a tennis and basketball court. In addition, the backyard also includes a rope climbing wall, landscaping space, pool house, and a trampoline.
Macke’s 80s Haircut
The Fox19 anchor, Macke, has rarely kept her hair long since she first appeared on Fox19. However, a few years back, in January 2018, she shared a picture of herself on her Facebook page featuring long, big hair.
Macke’s Facebook post suggests that her husband Chris found her old picture and printed it on a T-shirt for her. She wrote,
“My kids have never seen me with longer hair- it’s been really short for the last 20ish years. Now that I’m growing it out... Chris thought it would be funny to make a t-shirt with a photo of the last time it was this long.”
