Joseph Anthony Cox is a TV and film actor and music video model. He was born on 31 March 1957 in Alabama, USA, to Joe Cox and Henrietta Cox. He grew up in Uniontown, Alabama, with his grandparents, Henry Jones and Lottie Jones.
Cox had developed a passion for music from an early age. He specialized in drums and played it during his high school days in Alabama. After graduating high school, Cox joined music at Alabama State University. But, he dropped out shortly and relocated to Los Angeles to become an actor. In Los Angeles, Cox studied acting at Merrick Studio School.
Cox began his acting journey doing ad commercials and eventually made his way up to television and films. He began his on-screen career as Bad William in the 1980 horror film Dr. Heckyl and Mr. Hype.
