Her First Husband Committed Suicide
Taylor was married to her late husband Russell Armstrong for five years. She tied knots with him on 27 October 2005 and was set to divorce him before he took his life on 15 August 2011.
Reportedly, Taylor had an abusive five years marriage with Russell. She first opened up about enduring physical abuse from her husband during the season 2 reunion of RHOBH on Bravo TV. According to her statement with Andy Cohen, the reunion host of the reality series, Russell started physically abusing her when she was pregnant with her only daughter Kennedy Armstrong.
Eventually, Taylor decided to put an end to the marriage and filed for legal separation in July 2011. However, only after a month of legal pursuit Russell hanged himself at his house.
Taylor was the first person to discover Russell’s lifeless body hanging from the ceiling. She talked about the incident in one of the episodes of the podcast; Divorce Sucks with Laura Wasser. She said,
