Simon Guobadia is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of SIMCOL Petroleum and SIMCOL Group. He is also widely recognized as the ex-husband of The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Falynn Guobadia.

Who Is Simon Guobadia?

Simon Guobadia, full name, Simon Iyore Guobadia, is an American businessman and executive producer. He is the CEO and founder of SIMCOL Group. The company was founded in January 2007. In addition, he is also the CEO of KLC Petroleum Transport, LLC since January 2019.

Other than his professional works, Guobadia enjoys doing philanthropic works, playing golf, and traveling.

Education

Guobadia earned his bachelor's degree from the University of the District of Columbia. He graduated with a major in business administration and accounting in 1993. 

Career

Before establishing his own company, Guobadia served as a tax manager in a management consulting firm called Deloitte in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. He worked there for almost two and a half years from August 2004 to December 2006. 

Founder of SIMCOL Group

SIMCOL Group is a family-owned business established in January 2007. It holds many legal entities, including petroleum suppliers and transport, multimedia companies, hospitality, and investment. Guobadia is a first-generation owner and the CEO of the company. SIMCOL Petroleum Limited Company is a fuel supplier company based in Atlanta, Georgia. The business specializes in the supply and distribution of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) and other types of fuel. 

Guobadia has built SIMCOL Petroleum's customer base from predominantly day deals to major fixed-price contracts, according to the company's bio. As a business owner with over a decade-long fuel business experience, Guobadia has also replicated his knowledge base and discipline into other philanthropic and business ventures, as per the company's website. 

Career as a Film Producer

Guobadia has produced motion pictures, including Son Of The South (2020), Kill (2019), Ken Ford Live from the Buckhead Theatre (2013), and Jail Dogs (2012).

Who is Simon Guobadia's Wife?

Guobadia was married to The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Falynn Guobadia. They exchanged wedding vows at the Hyatt Regency's Villa Christina on 14 July 2019. The pair had been together for five years and married for two years before officially divorced in July 2021. However, they announced their split in April 2021 via their respective Instagram accounts.

Guobadia filed for divorce from his former wife twice, the first in January 2021, which he later withdrew, and the second in February of the same year. Finally, in July 2021, Falynn revealed on her Instagram Story that she was officially divorced. She captioned it, "It's a party! It's a partyyy!!!"

Both Guobadia and Falynn agreed to relinquish their rights to alimony as part of the settlement. In addition, Guobadia agreed to pay Falynn her share of the profits from selling a property they jointly owned, totaling $153,725.34. As part of their prenuptial agreement, Guobadia also committed to paying her $50,000 in two installments as an equitable distribution payment.

Kids

Although Guobadia and Falynn shared no children of their own, they both had children from prior marriages. They had a blended family with eight kids. Guobadia is the biological father of five children from a previous marriage: Quentin, Nicole, Benjamin, Christian, and Ximena. Falynn also has three children of a prior marriage.

The Cheating Allegations

A month before Guobadia and Falynn officially separated, he alleged she had cheated on him and was pregnant with another man's child. The allegations came after Falynn posted a clip of a tell-all interview she was conducting regarding the breakdown of their relationship and Guobadia's relationship with Porsha Williams on Instagram. 

Guobadia captioned the clip for the chat, "The Face of Cheating Wife." He went on to say that Falynn had an affair with an Atlanta entrepreneur, whom he recognized by his Instagram handle, and that she was disloyal in their marriage. According to him, the two were expecting a kid and living in a house he owns.

"Let's start with why I filed for divorce," Guobadia wrote. "Let's start with who she cheated with and currently pregnant for and living in a home I paid for — post divorce. ... This is how your generosity gets twisted. Let's get started there." However, Guobadia later denied the claims on Instagram.

Engagement with Porsha Williams 

RHOA star Porsha Williams confirmed her relationship with Guobadia in an Instagram post in May 2021. "Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love," she captioned the post alongside a selfie with Guobadia. "I know it's fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most."

Guobadia subsequently stated the couple was engaged after a month of dating. "I asked her to marry me because we checked ALL of each other's boxes, and then some," he revealed on Instagram.
