What did Samantha Marie Ware say about Lea Michele?
Ware made headlines in early June 2020. She accused her former Glee co-star, Lea Michele, of making her time on set a "living hell," behaving with "traumatic microaggressions" that made her question a career in Hollywood. She accused Michele through a tweet on 1 June 2020 after Michele tweeted in support of Black Lives Matter in the wake of the death of George Floyd.
Other Glee actors, including Amber Riley and Heather Morris, also commented about the uncomfortable working environment on the set of Glee.
Following Ware's accusations, Michele issued a lengthy post via Instagram on 3 June 2020, apologizing for her behavior and for the pain she had caused.
Ware opened more about why she called out Michele during an exclusive interview with Variety, published on 11 June 2020.
She said, "It shouldn't have to take my tweet. When you tweet, 'Black lives matter,' that would mean you have an understanding of what that hashtag means, but it's clear that it doesn't. Does Lea even know what a microaggression is? I don't know. All that her apology did was affirm that she hasn't learned anything. Am I calling Lea a racist? No. Does Lea have racist tendencies? I think Lea suffers from a symptom of living in this world in an industry that is tailored to white people."
Subsequent to that they both have not publicly made any statements regarding the pertaining issues.
As of 2022, Ware has not disclosed her personal relationships including any boyfriend or husband. While she has also not talked about her previous relationships.
