Who is Robert Wahlberg?

Robert Wahlberg was born Robert G. Wahlberg in Dorchester, Massachusetts, on 18 December 1967. His mother was Alma Elaine (née Donnelly), a bank clerk and nurse's aide, and his father, Donald Edmond Wahlberg, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and delivery driver. Robert's father passed away in 2008, aged 77, and his mother died on 18 April 2021 at age 78 following a long battle with dementia. 

Robert began his professional acting career in 1998, appearing in the role of Davy Quinn in the drama film Southie. Two years later, he appeared as Lee Naldoff in the crime drama film The Exchange. In 2001, he appeared as Timmy Cummings in the film Orphan and Arnon in the film Scenes of the Crime. He then played Pinky in the 2002 film Moonlight and Kevin Savage in the 2003 film Mystic River

Subsequently, in 2006, he portrayed the role of FBI special agent Frank Lazio in the Oscar-winning crime drama film The Departed, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, and Mark Wahlberg. His acting credits include Beyond Control (2012), The Rude, the Mad, and the Funny (2014), Patriots Day(2016), and Spencer Confidential (2020). In addition to that, he also appears on his family's reality television show Wahlburgers.

Followed by Arthur is Paul, born in 1964, he is a chef and actor. He is the host of  Wahlburgers reality television show, in which he prepares to expand his burger restaurant business with the help of his family and entourage. After Paul is Jim, born in 1965. He is the executive director of the charitable organization Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, which he started with his brother Mark.

Then came Donnie, born in 1969, he is a singer and actor. Also an original founding member of the boy band New Kids on the Block, which enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He made his big-screen debut in the 1996 film Bullet. His notable film roles include Cubby Barnes in Ransom (1996), Duddits in Dreamcatcher (2003), Eric Mattews in Saw film series, and Det. Lipton in Dead Silence (2007). Donnie also starred as Detective Danny Reagan in the police drama television series Blue Bloods.

Then, Mark is the youngest brother, born in 1971. Mark rose to fame after forming a hip hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, in the 1990s. He also turned his career to acting with his film debut in the 1994 film Renaissance Man. He first starred in the lead role in the 1996 film Fear. Later, he notably appeared in films like Boogie Nights (1997), The Fighter (2010), Ted (2012), and The Departed (2006).

However, Robert's sisters are not in the spotlight. According to Hollywood Life, Debbie was born in 1960 and died in 2003 on the same day Mark's daughter Ella Rae was born. While, Donna, Scott, and Buddy are Robert's half-siblings from his father's previous relationship.
