Robbie Arnett is an indie band Milo Greene’s vocalist and instrumentalist. He is also famously known as the husband of American actress Elizabeth Olsen.

Who Is Robbie Arnett?

Robbie Arnett has gained prominence as one of the lead singers of the indie-pop band Milo Greene, a quartet band comprising three lead singers, including Robbie Arnett, Graham Fink, and Marlana Sheetz. The band has Curtis Marrero on percussion.

The band idea began in 2009 between former college classmates Andrew Heringer (who would leave the band in 2015 to pursue self-projects) and Arnett as a long-distance project. The band eventually got successful in the music industry, with its self-titled debut album reaching number one on the charts in 2012. As of 14 July 2021, th band has three albums to its name, including the latest Adult Contemporary.

In his personal life, Arnett has been romantically linked with actress Elizabeth Olsen since 2017. Throughout their relationship, the two kept a quiet profile. But in 2019, after over two years of dating, they made a significant step forward, becoming engaged. The couple then exchanged wedding vows in 2020.

Early Age and Education

Robbie Arnett was born on 3 March 1992 as Robert Nicholas Arnett in California, U.S. He was born into a family of Caucasian family. 

Since his childhood, Arnett was very passionate about singing and music. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine, where he met his bandmates. 

Milo Greene

While he was in college, Arnett created the band Milo Greene with other friends in 2009.

Band’s Naming

Milo Greene is the name of a fictional booking agent established by the band to assist them in getting gigs in their early days of touring. The band eventually went under the identity of their made-up booking agency.

The Flight

The band’s career took off in 2012 after the release of their self-titled debut album Milo Greene. They’ve since published two more albums, Control (2014) and Adult Contemporary (2018).

The band has also provided music to the movie Fun Size and television shows such as Arrow, Supernatural, Grey’s Anatomy, and Conan.

The band has also been featured on other TV shows, including the Last Call with Carson Daly, Late Show with David Letterman, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Self-titled debut album ‘Milo Greene’

On 17 July 2012, the Los Angeles-based band released their debut self-titled album, including the single ‘1957,’ after garnering traction touring with American duo The Civil Wars. 

Band member Sheetz later explained their sound to CBS News’ Lauren Moraski, elaborating, “Originally, when we started this band, we wanted to create music that we could potentially see being placed in movies and TV. We really love scoring, and that’s how we wanted the music to sound.” 

Soon after, the band’s unique vocal harmonies, reflective lyrics, and melancholy soundscapes made them famous in the music world. They performed at events such as Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza and the renowned talk shows hosted by Letterman, Leno, and Conan during the years that followed.

As a complement to the record, the band produced a short film called Moddison on 6 October 2012. The film, which was written by the band and directed by Chad Huff, comprises a sequence of separate music videos for each song on Milo Greene’s album. The project was shot over the course of five days at a cottage on California’s Shaver Lake.

‘Control’

On 30 September 2014, Milo Greene announced the release of their sophomore LP, Control. They launched the album on 27 January 2015.

In October 2014, the group described Contol’s tone as more cheerful and percussive that could also encompass synthesizers compared to the more folk-based sounds of their past work.

‘Adult Contemporary’

Milo Greene released their third studio album, Adult Contemporary, on 7 September 2018. 

The album eventually became known for its outstanding euphony, which mingles sounds with ease and surrounds itself harmonically. The ever-evolving indie-pop band from Los Angeles selected the genre as its inspiration and named their third album Adult Contemporary after it.

The band lead single is ‘Move.’

Is Robbie Arnett Married?

Robbie Arnett married actress Elizabeth Olsen in 2020. Olsen is a well-known American actress best recognized for her notable roles in films such as Martha Marcy May Marlene, Silent House, Godzilla, and the sci-fi action blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. 

Olsen’s portrayal of Scarlet Witch in the Avengers project in 2015 had garnered her international acclaim.

Revelation

The couple had kept their marriage a secret until June 2021. However, during an interaction with Kaley Cuoco for Variety, Olsen referred to Arnett as her husband. During the interview, she said that she was speaking from her bathroom because of construction noise and that her “husband” actually helped arrange the impromptu set. 

She pointed to a book in the restroom that Arnett had put and said, “I also just noticed that my husband put ‘Little Miss Magic’ [in here] — you know, the ‘Little Miss’ books? They’re these classic books, but magic because of ‘WandaVision,’ because he’s such a f**king cutie.”

According to E! sources, the good-looking couple first met in Mexico while both of them were on vacation in February 2017. 

Later, they became romantically linked in March 2017, when they were seen holding hands through New York City.

Months later, Olsen and Arnett made their red carpet debut together at the Emmys in September 2017. 

Engagement 

The couple had kept their personal life low-key during their dating days. Later, the Milo Greene frontman proposed to Olsen in July 2019 after dating for over two years. 

On 4 August 2019, the actress had flashed a magnificent and huge ring with an emerald center stone surrounded by diamond stones while visiting Ralph’s supermarket in Sherman Oaks, CA.
