Who is Rick Glassman?

Rick Glassman is an actor, improv artist, and stand-up comedian. In his acting career spanning around 12 years, he has acted in 19 TV series and movies. Moreover, he has recently gained high fame for his portrayal of Jack Hoffman on the Amazon Prime Video series, As We See It.

Glassman was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on 23 July 1984. Unfortunately, his early life aspects, education, and parents’ details are not present on any authentic websites. As of 2022, his age is 37 years.

The Ohio native actor first stepped into the entertainment industry as a minor TV cast. His first role was as a pizza delivery man in the TV short video, A Night with Rachel Starr and Rachel Roxxx, in 2010. It followed his appearance as Officer Craig in the 2012 short film Macc’s Law.

After that, in 2014, Glassman played minor characters in the TV series Deadbeat and Commentary On. The same year, he successfully landed his career’s breakthrough role in NBC’s comedy series, Undateable. He portrayed one of the series’ main characters, Burski, in a total of 36 episodes through three seasons from 2014 to 2016.

In the years to follow, Glassman was cast in lead roles in several TV series and movies. His most notable on-screen appearances are in The Sixth Lead (2015 TV series), The Outdoorsman (2017 Movie), A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018 Movie), Ricky Tales: London (2021 TV Movie), etc.

Furthermore, Glassman also has a few credits as a director and producer. As of now, he holds three directing credits, including his own podcast Take Your Shoes Off, TV mini-series The Sixth Lead, and TV movie Ricky Tales: London.

'As We See It'

The Amazon Prime series, As We See It, was released on the streaming platform on 21 January 2022. It is a comedy-drama based on the famous Israeli TV series, On the Spectrum. 

The show’s storyline follows three roommates, Jack, Harrison, and Violet, who are all on the spectrum of autism. In the series, Glass portrays the character Jack, actor Albert Rutecki plays Harrison, and Sue Ann Pien is Violet. The three roommates strive together to live a happy life in a world that tries to avoid them. 

Besides the storyline, the most interesting fact connected to this series is that all three main characters are also on the spectrum of autism in real life. 

Host of 'Take Your Shoes Off'

Besides acting, producing, and directing works, Glassman is also a talented show host. He hosts his podcast, Take Your Shoes Off w/ Rick Glassman, on podcasts.apple.com. He also has a Twitter handle named after the show on which he regularly provides updates about the podcast.

Glassman also frequently appears as a guest on several other podcasts. For example, on 9 January 2020, he was on The Steebee Weebee Podcast. There, Glassman talked about his first meeting with actor Will Smith in Kent, Ohio. He also mentioned that Will Smith had been on his podcast, Take Your Shoes Off.

Is Rick Glassman Dating Betty?

Betty is a British lady who makes regular appearances on Glassman’s Take Your Shoes Off Podcast. There has been gossip that the Undateable actor has been dating Betty for a couple of years now. 

However, authentic sites do not hold any information regarding the rumor. Also, the actor himself has not made any public announcement about his relationship, which questions the validity of the story that Betty is his girlfriend.

Prior to Betty, Glassman was romantically involved with Pretty Little Liars actress Torrey DeVitto. People.com exclusively confirmed the news of their dating in January 2015 after the pair were seen kissing before the Golden Globe Awards event. The couple stayed together for around two years and split sometime in 2016.
