Redmond Parker is an American actor and a businessman. He is known as the son of Ray Parker Jr., a 'Grammy'-winning singer, and songwriter.

Parker was born as a second son to Ray Parker Jr. and Elaine Parker on 5 June 1990.

He appeared in an E! reality series Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules (2021). The series features eight descendants of top celebrities who agree to carry out manual labor to reopen Colorado's Saddleback Ranch.

In addition to that, Parker has also worked on Beauty and the Baller (2017), a single-camera TV comedy series. He is also credited for his work on Jax + James (2018), the American TV series Transparent (2014), and a TV series documentary Unsung (2008).

Redmond was born as a second child to Ray Parker Jr., a famous musician, singer, and record producer. His father Ray Parker formed an American funk and R&B vocal group known as Raydio in 1977. His mother is Elaine Parker. 

Raydio gave hits like the million copies selling 'Jack and Jill' and 'You can't change that.' Similarly, Ray Parker Jr. & Raydio's songs like 'Two Places at the same time,' 'A Woman Needs Love' were also thoroughly popular.

As an offspring of a legendary singer, who created one of the iconic theme songs in film history, Redmond felt pressured to do something similar to his father. 

"It was a huge pressure, especially because I didn't really get the music talent," he expressed to Distractify on 16 February 2022. 

Although Parker grew up hearing the distinctive Ghostbusters theme song, he claimed that he could not lose the song's charm. "I could never get sick of the song. I love hearing it", Parker added. "It's a big representation of my family and where we come from."

The new reality TV series premiered on 12 January 2022 on Hulu follows eight celebrity children who agree to put their effort to tend a Colorado ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. 

The cast includes Pat Benatar's daughter Hana Giraldo, David Hasselhoff's daughter Taylor Hasselhoff, Shaquille O'Neal's daughter Myles O'Neal, Martin's Lawrence daughter, Jasmin Lawrence. Similarly, Ray Parker Jr's son, Parker, Billy Bob Thornton's son Harry James Thornton, Easy E's daughter Ebie Wright, and Billy Gunn's son Austin Gunn.

The stars spend their days working on the ranch in the reality series, staying together in a bunk room. Thus, the show's storyline revolved around celebrity drama, heavily involved with Harry James Thornton and Austin Gunn. On the other hand, Parker opted to stay out of the drama. 

According to Parker, his dad is a devoted reality show viewer. "My dad laughs hysterically. He tells his friends, 'I am watching my son doing manual work on TV!' The only thing he cares about is seeing me do work, so he's been really laughing hysterically about that. Even when they showed the teaser about the whole artificial insemination [ahead of the Jan. 26 episode] my dad was like, 'Oh, I gotta set the DVR! I cannot miss you put your arm up a cow's a--.'"

In addition, in his latest interview with Page Six, Redmond commented on the show's latest episode. The show's concept was managing cattle of Colorado's Saddleback Ranch, and the stars studded stars were to wrangle them. On the challenging task, he said, "The guests look just as confused as the cows. It's just a s—t show right now."
