Raviv Ullman | Biography

Lead Actor of series Phil Of The Future

"I love what would be considered, I guess, female-identifying clothing, dresses, and long jackets, and looking fabulous. I am very, very excited about exploring that and always have. Any of my friends know that if I'm at a party, I will look for the most wild women's coat and put it on and dance around in that. It's something that I am still learning about", he said.

Ullman is an actor famous for appearing in the series Phil of the Future.

Who is Raviv Ullman?

Raviv Ullman, an Israeli-American actor, was born in a Jewish family in Eilat, Israel, on 24 January 1986. He has acted in multiple television shows and indie films.

Besides, he has also participated in off-Broadway and regional theatrical performances. He performed the popular musical, and dramatic performance Dead End at the Ahmanson Theatrical. Furthermore, he has also worked with New York's most prestigious theater houses, such as Roundabout, Atlantic, Second Stage, and The New Group.

In TV, he had acted in the movies Growing Up Brady (2000), Searching for David's Heart (2004), Driftwood (2006), That Guy (2006), Normal Adolescent Behavior (2007), How to Make Love to a Woman (2010), Contest (2013), followed by the series Phil of the Future (2004-2006) where he was the titular character, Phil. He was also featured in the TV series Rita Rock from 2008 to 2009.

Is Raviv Ullman Gay?

In a 2021 interview with Alma, Ullman discussed his thoughts about being labeled a gender-fluid heartthrob and underlined his efforts to combat toxic masculinity. He began by announcing his identity, "I identify as a cisgender, straight man," before going off to explain that he believes gender is a construct. Alongside, he also stated that, while being a cis-hetero person, he is interested in exploring female-like gender expressions.

Subsequently, he expressed his gratitude for the effort done by the trans and queer communities to educate people about the gender construct in the interview. And, he went on to emphasize the distinction between celebrity representations of the gender spectrum and the actual reality.

"I believe that we can explore all of those things while being respectful of the fact that I take a few pictures in a dress and get written about how I'm a gender-fluid heartthrob, and yet, there are people that are murdered for doing the same or are bullied to the point of committing suicide," he expressed.

He concluded the question by expressing his concern about him not belonging to the queer community yet being celebrated for anything he does or wears out of exploration.

"I do wear clothing that wouldn't be recognized as men's clothing all the time, and I have hot pink nail polish on right now. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's gender fluidity as much as it is fluidity more broadly. If gender is a construct, then I feel empowered to explore what that means for myself", he stated.

Other than that, Ullman has not yet made any statement with regard to his marital status.
