Career

He was initially cast in commercials before securing his first television role as Roland, the son of Robin Hood, on ABC's Once Upon a Time (2013 - 2016). Alejandro was just five years old at the time. In his debut year, he also guest-starred in the TV series Almost Human, for which he was nominated for a 'Young Artist Award.' 

A few more of his other TV credits include the movies like Nerd Herd (2015), Badge of Honor (2015), Kindergarten Cop 2 (2016), How to Be a Latin Lover (2017), and Jungle Cruise (2021).

Alejandro also had cameos on the TV shows, including Olympus in 2015, The Rocketeer, and Amphibia in 2020. Subsequently, from 2018 to 2021, he played Matteo Silva in the TV series Bunk'd and Hugo in the TV short Acapulco in 2021.

He also voiced Ethan in the short Gord's Brother (2015), Nathan in The Boss Baby 2: Family Business (2021), and Dean in the TV short Lego Star Wars Terrifying Tales in 2015.

'Bunk'D'

Alejandro played Matteo in the TV series Bunk'D from 2018 to 2021. However, the series initially started in 2015.

Bunk'd follow Emma (played by Peyton List), Ravi (played by Karan Brar), and Zuri Ross (played by Skai Jackson) as they travel to a rural summer camp in Maine, where their parents initially met when they were teenagers. Premising friendship, a love triangle, and fear related to camps, Bunk'd reveal how the trio set out to adjust their lives at the base.

His character

Alejandro revealed to Young Entertainment magazine in 2021 that his actual self and Matteo had a lot in common. "We both love to learn, especially about Science, and we care for our family and friends. Loyalty and respect are characteristics that we both share as well," he said. Alejandro additionally picked upon the dissimilarities between them, conveying, "one thing that Matteo and I don't have in common is that I am adventurous and kind of a daredevil, and Matteo is not."  

In the same interview, Alejandro stated that Bunk'd, and his character taught him to be himself and embrace and appreciate others for who they are. 

'Lego' 

Alejandro was the voice of the character Dean in LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales (2021). The characters Dean, Poe, and BB-8 face their anxieties, avert an evil sorcerer from rising to flee to reach their companions in this 44-minute TV short.

Poe Dameron (voiced by Jake Green), who played the courageous X-Wing pilot in this animated action short, is its protagonist. His representation here is comical, yet he keeps his heroic traits from the films. Graballa the Hutt (voiced by Dana Snyder) has Dean serving as his assistant.

'Acapulco'

Acapulco debuted on the screen on 8 October 2021. 

This comedic series follows the protagonist Máximo Gallardo, played by Enrique Arrizon, who lands his dream job as a houseboy at Las Colinas, Acapulco's trendiest resort. Nonetheless, he quickly discovers that the role is considerably more complex than he expected. Gallardo later grows up to be a billionaire in the series.

In the series, Alejandro plays Hugo, Gallardo's nephew, with whom Gallardo discusses the latter's childhood experiences. The conversation serves as a warning to Hugo as he discovers Gallardo's challenging choices and actions, many of which still bother him to date, despite his seeming success.
