After completing a five-month internship, she worked for another year as the production secretary of the show CBS Evening News (June 2010-May 2011). Early Life and Education

Reid was born on 19 August 1982 in Akron, Ohio. She holds American nationality and is of white ethnicity. She is yet to disclose her parents’ names and information about her other family members to the media. However, she time and again shares pictures of her parents via social media.

Reid is highly educated and is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and the New Jersey Bar. Unfortunately, her early education details are not available from authentic sources. However, she completed her college education at Virginia’s College of William & Mary with a double degree in both English and Psychology in 2005.

Reid then went to Villanova University School of Law and earned her law degree (JD) in 2008. Furthermore, to add more to her educational qualification, she pursued her Master's level studies at the University of Pennsylvania and obtained her M.B.E. in Bioethics degree in 2016.

CBS White House Correspondent

Reid took on the role of White House Correspondent for CBS News in April 2019. She held the position for approximately two years until March 2021.

While she was the White House Correspondent, she regularly covered former President Trump’s press briefings. During her tenure there, the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world, and the USA was one of the most severely affected countries.

Reid interviewed president Trump several times about the government’s plan to fight the epidemic. On one such occasion in May 2020, she threw a series of questions at Trump, which apparently irritated him, and called the CBS News correspondent rude. Her questions were,

“Mr. President, why haven’t you announced a plan to get 36 million unemployed Americans back to work? You are overseeing historic economic despair. What is the delay? Where is the plan?”

Trump also complained about Reid’s attitude during one of his interviews with the New York Post in May 2020.

From CBS To CNN

Reid started her journalism career at CBS and spent over 11 years at the channel. However, in March 2021, she decided to leave there to discover the outside opportunities. Reportedly, CBS News took her off the position of White House Correspondent in early 2021 during the channel’s reorganization. After that, she did not receive a defined role at the channel, which persuaded her to leave finally.

Reid tweeted about leaving CBS News in late March 2021. Her tweet read,

“I will miss my wonderful colleagues at CBS News, and will always be grateful to those who opened doors for me along the way.”

The same month that Reid left CBS, CNN offered her the position of Senior Legal Affairs Correspondent in Washington. Her job there is to closely monitor CNN’s justice team and cover the major legal stories in the District of Columbia.

Reid Is Married To Her Husband, Jason

Reid and her husband Jason has been married for four years. The pair tied wedding knots in April 2018. Despite being a media personality herself, she has stayed tight-lipped regarding her married life and has not shared much information about her husband, Jason.

However, during one of her interviews with Politico on 19 August 2020, i.e., on her 38th birthday, she revealed that her husband is a good cook. In her words,

“I will be up early to report for ‘CBS This Morning’ and spend most of the day at the White House. After work, I will celebrate with my husband, Jason -- he is an amazing cook and will be making dinner.”

Authentic websites are yet to publish Reid's 2022 salary and net worth. However, during her tenure at CBS News in 2019, she earned an annual salary approximately $99,000.
