Pat Harvey is an American news anchor, reporter, writer-editor, and producer. She started her journalism career as a news anchor and reporter at WNEM TV5- MY5 Meredith Corp for over two years, from September 1979 to September 1981. 

Simultaneously, she began her job at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia, in January 1981. Harvey worked there for nearly five years before leaving the media house in September 1985. The same year, she joined WGN-TV and worked there until 1989. 

After that, Harvey has been working at CBS2/KCAL9 for over 32 years, since November 1989. She joined CBS2 after 2two decades as one of the first anchors of the nation's first nightly three-hour broadcast with sister station KCAL9.

She has covered major local news stories, political conventions, and presidential inaugurations. Harvey has also examined the AIDS epidemic in Eastern Africa and Russia, South Africa's first all-race elections, and the civil war in El Salvador.

In addition, Harvey field anchored coverage from Las Vegas in the mass's aftermath, shooting at the Route 91 Harvest music festival. Some other memorable event for Harvey was the opportunity to expose LA race relations in the breakdown of the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, which resulted in a fatality and numerous injuries.

Pat Harvey is married to her husband, Ken Lombard, an investor. Lombard is the president and CEO of BRIDGE Housing Corporation in Los Angeles, California. 

The pair has a daughter named Michelle Byrd. Her daughter is seen with Harvey on several occasions. For instance, they attended the 67th Los Angeles Area' Emmy Awards' on 25 July 2015 at the Skirball Cultural Center.

She has earned 25 local 'Emmy Awards' and a national 'Emmy Award.' Similarly, in 2008, Harvey was awarded the 'Genii Award' for excellence in television broadcasting by the Southern California chapter of American Women in Radio and Television. 

She has also received two-lifetime achievement awards: the 'Joseph M. Quinn' award from the LA Press Club in 2004 and the Radio & Television News Association's 'Golden Mike for Lifetime Achievement Award' in 2010.

In February 2012, Harvey was enlisted into the National Association of Black Journalists Hall of Fame at the Newseum in Washington DC. Furthermore, in 2015, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences honored Harvey with the 'LA Area Governor's Award' for her work at CBS2/KCAL9 and philanthropic work in the community.
